Kristin Bloom is a cinematographer, film editor, and adjunct professor based in Missoula, Montana. Her artistic journey began in the American Southeast, where she drifted between film sets in Nashville and Atlanta, drawn to the quiet magic of stories told through light and image. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Video and Film Production from Middle Tennessee State University, later completing her Masters of Fine Arts at the University of Montana. The move west deepened her perspective on her own life and work, shaping a teaching practice that explores the intersection of digital storytelling, thriller studies, and the shifting impact of social media.
As co-founder of Nightmare Box LLC, Kristin creates dark, atmospheric films that fuse genre experimentation with visual storytelling. Her work is marked by care, intention, and an enduring devotion to the art of cinema, often exploring the raw edges of the human experience and inviting audiences to look more deeply at their own lives and the lives unfolding around them.
